Treat this as servicing a legacy appliance rather than maintaining a current one. Everdure kitchen appliances are no longer sold new, so parts are scarce and a component broken during cleaning may be unobtainable. Clean thoroughly, dismantle conservatively.
There are two Everdures, and confusing them is the first problem to solve.
Which Everdure do you have?

Legacy Everdure made kitchen appliances in Australia, including built-in ovens and cooktops. Those have not been sold new for many years, and a great many are still working in Sydney homes.
This page is about the second kind. If you have an Everdure oven, that is what you have.
Legacy servicing, not maintenance
The distinction matters because it changes the risk calculation rather than the method.
On a current appliance, taking a door apart to reach between the panes is a reasonable thing to attempt, because a broken glass panel costs money and can be replaced. On a legacy Everdure it may simply be unobtainable, at which point a cleaning job has become an appliance decision.
So clean thoroughly and dismantle conservatively. If a fixing resists, stop rather than persist, and photograph the rating plate before you start in case you do need to chase something.
The cavity
Plain vitreous enamel with nothing to protect, so a non-caustic cleaner, a genuine thirty minute dwell and firm work with a non-scratch pad. Given the age of these, expect carbon rather than grease and expect three applications rather than one. Our oven cleaning guide covers the method.
Why so many are still running
Legacy Everdure ovens were built in a period when Australian appliances were made to a simpler and heavier specification: thick enamelled cavities, mechanical thermostats and very little to go electronically wrong.
That is the reason so many are still in service decades later, and it is worth factoring into any decision about one. An appliance that seals properly and holds temperature is doing its job regardless of how dated the fascia looks, and the case for replacing it is usually about kitchen aesthetics rather than about function.
The point at which that changes is a perished door seal that cannot be sourced, or cavity enamel chipped through to steel and rusted across a wide area. Neither is fixed by cleaning and both are worth checking before spending an afternoon.
The seal test takes ten seconds: close the door on a sheet of paper and pull. If it slides out with no resistance, the seal has stopped compressing, and on an oven this old that is worth knowing before you conclude the appliance cooks unevenly.

Should you do it yourself?
Do it yourself for the cavity, patiently and without forcing anything.
Get someone in for anything involving dismantling. The Everdure cooktop is usually the same vintage.
