The machine that cleans everything else
A dishwasher does not clean itself
It is a reasonable assumption that a machine which runs hot soapy water through itself twice a day must end up clean. It does not, and the reason is that the water only goes where the spray arms point it. Everything outside that path collects: the filter at the bottom, the sump underneath it, the inside of the spray arms themselves, and the rubber seal around the door.
The filter is the one most people know about and still do not remove, partly because on a lot of machines it takes a firm twist and feels like something you might break. Under it sits the sump, which collects the fat and food that the filter caught and the pump did not clear. That is the source of most dishwasher smells, and no amount of running a cleaning tablet through the machine reaches it.
The spray arms block from the inside. Scale and debris settle in the arms and partially close the jets, so the arm still turns but no longer covers the top rack properly. People usually read that as the machine getting old. It is normally just the arms, and they come off, flush out and go back on.
Then there is the door edge, the flat lip at the bottom of the door that sits outside the seal and never sees water at all. On a machine that has run for a few years it carries a black line of mould that is entirely invisible until somebody opens the door fully and looks down at it. It comes off with the right product and about two minutes, and it is the single most satisfying part of the job.
Everything we use is non-caustic. A dishwasher is an appliance you put crockery into, so a residue-free clean is not a preference here, it is the requirement.
Every clean
What is included
Two prices, one condition
Dishwasher cleaning prices
All prices GST-inclusive. A dishwasher is added to a booking rather than booked on its own.
* Prices are indicative only and may vary with the size and condition of the appliance, how heavily soiled it is, and your location. Your operator will confirm the final price.
A machine that has failed or is not draining needs a technician, not a clean.
The package rate
Why it costs less on a package
The clean is identical. What changes is what the visit has to pay for. On its own a dishwasher is about forty minutes of work carrying the full cost of a van coming to your street. On a package the operator is already there for most of the morning, so the only real cost left is the forty minutes.
That is why the package rate exists and why it is not available on its own. We are not discounting the work, we are not charging you twice for a call-out that only happened once.
Any of our packages qualifies. An oven with a cooktop is already a package, so the dishwasher comes down there too, not only on the largest one.

The Full Valet, from $585
A dishwasher is a small job beside an oven, and it is priced that way when the two are booked together. Adding the cooktop to an oven clean is $75 instead of $115, and the rangehood is the same. Take all four appliances together and the package is from $585 against $715 booked one at a time, so you keep $130 and three of the four mornings. It is booked as your operator's whole day, so yours is the only job they take.
- Standard Oven (up to 600mm)
- Cooktop (4 burners)
- Rangehood (up to 600mm)
- 3-Burner BBQ
Add a dishwasher to your booking
It goes on any oven, cooktop, rangehood or BBQ visit, and it comes down again on a package.
