Nothing on a Bellini hob needs special handling: no proprietary coating, no premium finish to dull. Follow the standard method for whichever surface you have, and expect the matched oven and rangehood to be in identical condition.
Bellini hobs arrive as part of a Harvey Norman kitchen package, alongside a Bellini oven and rangehood, and they are common in apartments and first homes.
Plain everything, which makes this straightforward
There is no proprietary coating on a Bellini hob, no premium metal trim to tarnish and no finish that a normal cleaner will dull. Whether it is gas with enamelled trivets or a glass surface, the standard method applies without qualification, and our cooktop cleaning guide covers both.
That is genuinely worth stating, because a great deal of cooktop advice is about avoiding damage to something expensive. On this appliance that concern is largely absent. You can be thorough.
The package is the thing to think about
The useful insight on this brand is not about the hob at all. It is that the hob, the Bellini oven and the Bellini rangehood were installed on the same day and have done the same amount of work.
Whatever state the hob is in, the other two are in the equivalent state, and the hood is almost certainly the worst of the three because nothing ever prompted anyone to open it. Cleaning the hob while ignoring the hood above means the hob gets greasy again faster, because the extraction that should be catching cooking vapour is not.
Support through the retailer
Parts and manuals run through Harvey Norman rather than a manufacturer. The model plate is usually on the underside of the hob, which means looking up from inside the cabinet below. Photograph it while you are there.
Knobs off, fascia underneath
The one thing genuinely worth adding to a routine on a Bellini hob is taking the control knobs off.
They pull straight off on the gas and older ceramic models, and behind each is a spindle passing through the fascia with a ring of grease around it that has been building since installation. It is invisible with the knobs in place, which is why it survives every clean the appliance has ever had.
Wash them in warm soapy water, dry them, clean the fascia underneath with a cloth rather than a spray so nothing runs down the spindle, and push them back on square. It takes five minutes and it is the difference between a hob that looks clean and one that is.
What actually goes wrong
A burner cap on the wrong crown, so one burner will not simmer.
Rusted trivets, dried by air rather than by hand.
A hood never opened, which is the reason the hob keeps needing attention.
Should you do it yourself?
Do it yourself, thoroughly, because there is nothing here to ruin.
Get someone in if the whole package needs doing at once, which is usually the sensible way to approach it.
